The government of West Bengal has released the notification for the recruitment of different posts in the Gram Panchayat. The DPRD (Department of Panchayat and Rural Development) released the notification two months ago.
But, the application forms have not been released. There are around 6652 vacancies in different posts. Eligible candidates for those vacancies can fill in the application once it is released. Gram Panchayat Recruitment 2024
The West Bengal government has introduced various vacancies in Gram Panchayats. People can fill in the form once they are released. Posts for which vacancies are released include Gram Panchayat Sahayak, Executive Assistant, Panchayat Samiti Peon, Data Entry Operator, Zila Parishad Additional Accountant and Assistant Cashier, account clerk, secretary, clerk-cum-typist, nirman sahayak, lower division assistant, work assistant, stenographer, system manager, block informatics officer, district information analyst, and others.
You should be eligible to apply for these above-mentioned posts. Then you will be allowed to appear for the exams.

Gram Panchayat Recruitment 2024 Details
The recruitment for different posts of gram panchyat was announced on February 27, 2024. Till now, the application forms have not been released. The recruiting organization is West Bengal Panchaya Recruitment Management System and the department name is Department of Panchayat and Rural Development. A total of 6652 vacancies have been announced till now. The job location for those who will clear the exams will be West Bengal’s Panchayat Samitis, Gram Panchyat, and Zila Parishad.
The eligible candidates can fill the application form online only. The dates of the application form will be released soon and people can keep themselves updated with prd.wb.gov.in.
Educational Qualification
The government has defined the age limit for these examinations. As of January 1, 2024, the candidates should be between 18–40 years. Also, the government also defined the age relaxation rules for reserved categories including Schedule castes, schedule tribes, and other backward classes.
There are rules for the candidates based on their educational qualifications. Here you can check the qualifications standard for each applicant.
- Candidates must have a diploma in computer applications or computer science.
- If they do not have a diploma, they should have a degree from a university or college recognized by central or state government or by a state or all-India council.
- You can also attach documents related to social work, rural development, postgraduate in social work, etc. to enhance profile. However, it is not mandatory.
Application Fees
The government have exempted the people belonging to the reserved groups from paying the fees. However, people from the general category are not exempted from application fees. The application fees may be between INR 500 and 700. It has not been confirmed by the authorities. The applicants should keep checking the official site of the government to know about the date of the application form and the application fee.
If you do not have a good internet connection or system to fill in the form, you can fill in the form from nearby cyber centers. Eligible people can fill in the form from any corner of the country. You must keep your documents ready as the dates of application can be revealed anytime.

- After doing OTR, you need to log in to your account and check for the recruitment form of Gram Panchayat 2024.
- Then, you should fill out all the important details like name, date of birth, educational qualifications, parents’ details, etc.
- You should attach all the documents that are asked for on the portal.
- In the next step, the applicants must pay the application fee. The government may exempt some categories from application fees.
